Hello Summer

This Memorial Day week-end promises to have temperatures that match the official arrival of summer on the calendar. I'm looking forward to being outside and enjoying it.

Today I sewed ten patriotic string blocks for Heartstrings. I have a pile of foundation squares cut, but my red, white/tan, & blue strips are limited. Might have to go on a search and find in the sewing room.

I couldn't resist adding this photo of Annie sleeping in the bed upstairs. She looks so comfortable.

The lilacs, tulips and daffodils are done blooming, but the snowball bush is getting ready to bloom. There's plenty of weeds out there, too, just waiting for my removal. I'm torn between wanting to be outside and wanting to sew.

Hey Jeanne! Thanks for popping over to my blog and joining my 50th post give-away! I'll be drawing it later today to give my OS friends time to comment before their 'Friday' is over, since I'm now in Saturday!! Your kitty Annie looks sooooo comfy! Cats are usually so dignified that it's funny to catch them when they're not! See you again soon! Bear Hugs! KRIS (Tag Along Teddies)

Annie looks amazingly comfortable. But then kitties always do find the best spots!
It's still a bit too chilly here to enjoy anything that's brave enough to flower!

The flowers look like summer has arrived!

I didn't get blocks made today but I hope to get some more done tomorrow. Today was so beautiful we were outside all day.

When my cat sleeps like that I can't resist the urge to stroke her tummy - which wakes her up of course! Have a lovely summery weekend.

Oh I do hope you're right, because it doesn't look like summer here at the moment. Great string blocks!

Your blocks look great. I'm here in Florida, and we have had summer for a while now, and are under a severe weather alert. It looks so sunny out that it's hard to believe. Hope you have a happy holiday.

Maybe you will tackle the weed if it is getting warmer outside.
